Our Team

Mirissa Neff is a journalist and filmmaker with over a decade of experience telling human stories through the lens of art and culture.

She has worked as a producer and correspondent for PBS’s SOUND TRACKS: Music Without Borders, PBS’s QUICK HITS, and the television program VOYAGER, has reported on music and culture for numerous leading public radio programs, and was commissioned by PBS to complete a survey and audio history of iconic civil rights era photography. She appeared on Sesame Street as a child and got her start in broadcast radio while studying at Amherst College.

Her debut feature documentary THIS IS NATIONAL WAKE premiered in competition at Sheffield DocFest and won awards at film festivals around the world.

THE BAY BABES is rooted in her personal history as a “lifer” on Fire Island. Her mother, Jeanette, is one of the film’s subjects.
